Dinner date with Elena last evening. Finally..... after sooo long. Everyone is busy with their own lives. It's part of growing up- and now.... we're all working adults. Certainly glad that we managed to meet (is actually quite impromptu I must say) - " Respect people who find time for you in their busy schedule. " I guess that's kinda true, and I truly appreciate that. 

Decided to dine at Dean & Deluca. Was craving for some sweet treats and contemplating between the pancakes or waffles. It's decided.... pancakes for dinner! To be honest, it was a disappointment. Hardest pancake I ever eaten (??). So you know now, looks can be deceiving! :| Probably should be softer and more chewy, prefer it that way. Other than that, the pancake blends quite well with the maple syrup and vanilla ice-cream. Btw, it's a four-layered pancake- SUPER filling. Take note: One scoop of ice-cream is definitely insufficient for the stack of pancakes.

Just the pancake and syrup combo is just MEHHHH. Nothing fantastic. 

There are some cafes I would love to visit. My #1 cafe list will be, Department of Caffeine. Been there once, but it was sooo crowded and no table reservation (random walk-in, basically trying our luck). So.. we had to give it a miss as the waiting time was close to an hour. Will definitely make a trip there soon- very much looking forward to try their famous waffles. It's supposed to be one of the best in Singapore.
