Sea, Sand & Sun @ Sala Phuket @ 2:10 PM

Sea, Sand and Sun

It was a rather impromptu trip - for a quick getaway over the weekends. We decided on a beach holiday this time and our destination was, Phuket (because I'm actually very superstitious). I have heard of the Bali curse and I strongly believe in it... so it's always better to be safe. Phuket is the wisest choice! :X

Was initially quite worried that our trip will have to postpone due to the sudden coup that has happened in Thailand a couple of weeks ago. But anyways,  it was a pleasant vacation. Biggest thanks to the sweetest boyfriend for planning and making all the necessary arrangements for this trip!

Decided to stay in Sala Phuket. Everything is good, I must say. From the scrumptious ala-carte breakfast menu, modern interior design to the efficient room service etc...  Fell in love with our bedroom - SALA pool villa - very private (there's only outdoor shower area btw! :P) and nicely decorated.

Lunch at the SALA restaurant.

Paid about 700 baht per pax, for an hour ride from the resort to Patong (round-trip) for cheap massage and seafood! Boyfriend recommended me to try the famous coconut nutella crepes stuffed with banana slices after we ate our dinner @ Mr Good's Seafood. There are plenty of push carts selling crepes along Patong. That's when you tend to look out for the one with the longest queue- to decide which is a better one. :| So.. we assumed " S&K Crepes " should be the best, or shall I say, because it's the neatest (probability of getting food poisoning will be lesser- just randomly guessing btw).

And I also love the sour mango with spicy sour plum powder! However, I would very much prefer dipping the sour mango with black sauce + chili padi! Perfecto, aahhh.. now I kinda miss the taste.

#DAY2

The breakfast was very enjoyable. We tried almost everything on the menu during our 4D3N stay in this resort. Something different here, like they stuffed morning glory (we called it, kang kong) into their omelette. Kinda weird combination but it was actually not that bad. The staffs were very friendly and efficient (within secs, someone will attend to your needs).

This marks the end of the trip, and back in Singa last evening. As usual, I wish we could extend our stay! I had a great time and thank you boyfriend again, for this wonderful experience. And thank you for the wonderful hospitality, Sala Phuket.
