Hai Di Lao Steamboat @ 11:05 PM

Had my favorite steamboat for dinner with the boy tonight - Hai Di Lao, located at Clarke Quay. Wait times vary depending on the time of the day (off-peak hours for shorter queue). The waiting time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours especially for dinner (between 6-8pm). So far, it's the only restaurant I'm willing to wait a long time to get a table. Be patient, it's well worth the wait. From superb quality ingredients, top notch customer service to a wide selection of meat, seafood, vegetables and sauces. We absolutely love the tomato soup base, which is extremely appetizing. I instantly fell in love with it (it's weird especially for a spicy lover like me, mala should be my favorite) BUT.... to conclude: the tomato broth is my top choice. The herbal chicken is not that bad either.

My top 5 food order list in Hai Di Lao
1. Handmade Noodles
2. Shrimp Dumplings
3. Black Pork
4. Pork Belly
5. Cod Fish

Okay and here's the address:
Hai Di Lao Hotpot Restaurant 海底捞火锅
#02-04 Clarke Quay, 3D River Valley Road
Tel: +65 6337 8626

and heard that their second outlet at 313 Somerset is slated to open before the end of the year. YAY.

Lastly, HAPPY HUMP DAY!
(an hour more to 12am. :p Okay.. goodnight all.)
