Anniversary Dinner @ Mikuni @ 12:29 PM
Just a very quick update- the boyfriend planned our anniversary dinner at Mikuni last evening. We had OMAKASE- meaning 'leave it to you'. Therefore the chef will use their experience, knowledge and creativity to choose and prepare the meal for the customer. He has been wanting to bring me there for quite awhile. I'm glad we did and it was really good- about 240++ per person. The chef specially prepared snow crab for me (I'm not a beef eater), while he was happily enjoying his tender and juicy waygu beef. Fresh ingredients, delicious food, posh ambiance with the best dining companion. It was definitely an enjoyable experience. Especially, the tuna belly literally melted in my mouth. Missing them right now as I'm typing away. Thank you boyfriend for the scrumptious dinner.
#random I happily start taking more photos especially when there's good lighting, oops.
Boyfriend reserved two seats at the Robatayaki counter for us (only 10 seats available). Therefore, we get to interact with the chef and feeding us with some information on every single dish he served us. For example, explain about the ingredients or how it is best eaten with.
Squid with Sea Urchin
Left: Yellow Jack | Right: Scallop with Prawn, topped with Salmon Roe
Left: Seaperch | Right: Tuna Belly
Yellow Tail with Truffle Sauce
Waygu Beef with Hokkaido Wine Sauce
Snow Crab - cooked to perfection, so soft. Carried a hint of BBQ taste on the meat, yet remaining the usual seafood flavor.
Flounder Sushi
The prawns were fried to perfection, so crispy.
Tuna Belly Sushi
Prawn with Sea Urchin
Ariake Clams, Kyushu Asari Clear Soup
Chirasi Don
Lastly, dessert- Milk Pudding with Brown Sugar, Raspberries and Blueberries
've been a very happy girl. Looking forward to many more years to come, as we continue to grow and improve. :)
