Haven't been actively updating my blog lately. Sharing some small updates- about myself and on upcoming Samplestore's relaunch event!

Chopped 3.5 inches off my hair last Sunday. Totally forgotten the last time I've managed to trim my hair. And conclusion: I quite like this hair length. My hair feels so much lighter now. I've never thought of cutting my hair short, tried once (15 years old) and told myself, never ever again. It was a nightmare.

Was feeling very unhappy for the past few days. Why? Work-related stress- heavy workload and settling all by myself. This is probably not the worst part- as mentioned earlier in my previous entry months ago, it's when you feel that your efforts are not appreciated. To me, employee recognition is important. It allows your employees to know that their hard work is valued (effective motivation) and this will also help to promote a happy and healthy work environment. It's better than just focusing and pin-pointing faults on them. No one in their right mind would ever be happy working for such an employer. This is why some companies are suffering from high turnover rate. It is not always about high remuneration... more about- working together as a team productively. People want to come to work feeling good about themselves, not thinking whether they are gonna get shyt again. Same shit, different day. And then, this boils down to another question: coming to work with the wrong mindset. I wonder now.. who is the actual cause of it?

The employee who choose to be pessimistic?

 OR 

The employer who created that image on the minds of your employees? Employer branding.

A good employer leads to.... people feel good working in the company and attracting talent to WANT to work for them. You will listen more of such statements,

 " I'd love to be part of xxx company! " 

" I'm committed to my employer! " 

rather than...

" Should I quit my job? " 

Firmness or a dilemma. 

Just ranting... I'm okay now.
